Pursuant to Section 18(1) (q) of the Act, the Authority is required to ''establish a consumer complaints committee to collect decide on and report on consumer complaints, such reports to be included in the Authority's annual report".
The role of the Consumer Complaints Committee is to ensure that the interests of consumers of telecommunication and broadcasting services are secured in accordance with the Consumer Rights and Obligations Policy and Regulations and the Broadcasting Code. The Committee consists of three (3) permanent members, one Authority Board Member (or designate), an employee of the Authority)or other designate, and one other member who shall be its Chairman. Currently, the members of the Committee are: Mrs. Pamella Benson, Chairman Mr.Hayden Newton- Board Member Mrs, Cheryl Johnson- Senior Manager Communications, Public Relations and Consumer Affairs
