Procedures for Consultations in the Telecommunications Sector of Trinidad and Tobago

The document details the procedures for effecting consultations on draft policies and regulations which are proposed by the Authority as instruments of assistance in the conduct of its functions as delegated under the Telecommunications Act 2001. The topics covered in the document include the following:

  • initiation of the consultation process,
  • notification of a consultation,
  • public release of draft telecommunications policies, regulations, rules and other documents for consultation,
  • receiving and documenting comments,
  • consultation on comments received,
  • final review of documents,
  • notification of decisions made, and
  • the review cycle.
